Position: Electrical Design Engineer
- Qualification: B.Tech / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering
- Experience Required: 4–8 years
- Job Location: MEIL Head Office, Hyderabad, Telangana
Job Description
The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for preparation, review, and execution of electrical designs for various industrial, infrastructure, and utility projects. The key responsibilities include:
Software Skills Required
- AutoCAD – Mandatory
- MS Excel – Mandatory
- ETAP (Preferred)
- Dialux (Preferred)
Technical Responsibilities
- Preparation of SLD (Single Line Diagrams) for LT/HT systems up to 400 kV across sectors such as transmission, distribution, WTP, ETP, irrigation, and industrial utilities.
- Designing layouts for electrical systems and performing equipment sizing calculations.
- Preparation of earthing system design based on IS and IEEE standards for plants and substations.
- Development of protection schemes including Distance, Differential, REF, and others.
- Preparation of Load Lists and Cable Schedules.
- Designing illumination layouts, lightning protection systems, and power distribution systems.
- Transformer and reactive power compensation design calculations.
