Position: Officer / Jr Engineer / Engineer / Asst. Manager – Material Purchase for Infra (Road/Rail) Projects

Location: BKC Office, Mumbai
Qualifications
- Fresher Engineering Graduate (Civil or Mechanical)
- Diploma (Civil/Mechanical) with SAP
- B.Com with SAP knowledge
Experience: 1 to 2 Years / Freshers
Job Purpose
To identify, develop and finalise vendors for supply of high quality requirements related to Infra projects right from mobilisation till project completion. Items include Civil, Electrical, Mechanical fittings, IT peripherals, Prefab structures, Steel, Pipes, Sand, Aggregate, Cement, Admixture, Paints, Expansion joints, Bearings and more. Experience in Bitumen and HSD procurement will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities
- Procurement of items and delivery in required quantity and quality as per project requirement
- Keep updated on new products and market developments
- Derive tentative price based on costing for negotiation
- Decide negotiation strategy and finalise with favourable terms and conditions
- Coordinate with stakeholders to understand requirements and suggest alternatives
- Partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
- Support tendering team in identifying market prices
- Track delivery timelines of various items
- Forecast market trends and prices
- Conversant with E-sourcing and capable of attracting vendors for bidding
Requirements
- Engineering graduate from government or reputed institute
- Proven field experience
- Purchase responsibility experience in reputed infra company
- Good knowledge of relevant IS codes and European norms
- Familiarity with sourcing, E-sourcing and vendor management
- Good negotiation and networking skills
- Knowledge of SAP
- Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis
- Logical decision-making ability
- Team player with leadership ability
- Willingness to travel
