1. Manager – Billing & Planning (Railway Project)
- Location: Mulugunu (Andhra Pradesh)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- The Billing & Planning Engineer is responsible for project scheduling, progress monitoring, and client billing for railway infrastructure projects
- Ensures accurate measurement, timely invoicing, and effective planning to support smooth project execution in compliance with contract specifications and railway standards
Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop detailed project schedules for railway works (track laying, ballast works, bridges, electrification, signaling, etc.) using Primavera P6 / MS Project
- Create Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) aligned with project scope and milestones
- Monitor project progress and update schedules periodically
- Identify delays, critical activities, and resource constraints; recommend corrective actions
- Coordinate with site teams for progress tracking and short-term planning
Billing & Quantity Management:
- Prepare and submit RA (Running Account) bills as per executed quantities and contract terms
- Verify measurements in coordination with site engineers and survey teams
- Ensure quantities are recorded as per approved drawings, BOQ, and railway specifications
- Coordinate with client/consultant (Railways/RVNL/DFCCIL) for bill certification and approval
Cost Monitoring & Control:
- Track project costs against budgeted estimates
- Assist in cost forecasting and cash flow planning
- Prepare variance analysis reports and highlight deviations
- Support in pricing of extra items, change orders, and variation claims
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of measurements, billing data, and work progress
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports (MIS)
- Generate S-curves, resource histograms, and performance dashboards
- Ensure documentation complies with audit and contract requirements
Coordination & Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with construction teams, design teams, and procurement departments
- Coordinate with client representatives, consultants, and railway authorities
- Assist project management in tracking deliverables and milestones
Contract & Claims Management:
- Understand contract conditions, specifications, and billing procedures specific to railway projects
- Assist in preparation and submission of variation orders, claims, and Extension of Time (EOT) requests
- Ensure all billing activities align with contract clauses and project milestones
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Diploma in Civil Engineering
- 9 – 10 years of experience in railway or infrastructure projects
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in projects with Indian Railways, RVNL, DFCCIL, or Metro Rail
- Knowledge of railway standards, specifications, and procedures
- Exposure to EPC railway infrastructure projects
- Ability to work in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
